시신의 내부가 차가워지자마자 바이탈 본질들(the vital substances)이 사람한테서 분리되는데요, 이들은 몸 안 어디에 있든, 심지어 천 갈래 비비꼬인 미로 속에 둘러싸여 있어도 남김없이 모조리 분리됩니다. 바로 이런 게 그 어떤 바이탈도 남아있을 수 없는, 주님의 자비의 효능이기 때문입니다. (이 효능은 전에 제가 살아있고 강력한 매력으로 지각했던 것입니다.) As soon as the internal parts of the body grow cold, the vital substances are separated from the man, wherever they may be, even if inclosed in a thousand labyrinthine interlacings, for such is the efficacy of the Lord’s mercy (which I had previously perceived as a living and mighty attraction) that nothing vital can remain behind.
