1498. 20절, 바로가 사람들에게 그의 일을 명하매 그들이 그와 함께 그의 아내와 그의 모든 소유를 보내었더라 Verse 20. And Pharaoh commanded the men concerning him; and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.
‘바로가 사람들에게 그의 일을 명하매 그들이 그를 보내었더라’, 기억-지식들이 주님을 떠났음을, ‘그의 아내와’, 천적인 것들과 결합한 진리들로부터도 떠났음을, ‘그의 모든 소유를’, 천적 진리들에 속한 모든 것으로부터도 떠났음을 각각 의미합니다. “And Pharaoh commanded the men concerning him; [and they sent him away]” signifies that memory-knowledges left the Lord; “and his wife” signifies that they also left the truths that were conjoined with celestial things; “and all that he had” signifies that they left all things that belonged to celestial truths.
1499. 바로가 사람들에게 그의 일을 명하매 그들이 그를 보내었더라 And Pharaoh commanded the men concerning him; [and they sent him away].
이 표현이, 기억-지식들이 주님을 떠났다는 의미인 것은, 기억-지식들이라는 ‘바로’의 의미와, 또한 지성적인 것들이라는 ‘사람들’의 의미로부터 분명합니다. (앞서 보여드린 158번 글처럼) That this signifies that memory-knowledges left the Lord, is evident from the signification of “Pharaoh,” as being memory-knowledge; and also from the signification of “men,” as being intellectual things (as before shown, n. 158).
여기 ‘사람들’은 바로(Pharaoh) 혹은 기억-지식의 속성을 가졌기 때문에, 거기서 비롯되는 지성적인 것들을 의미합니다. “The men” here, because attributed to Pharaoh, or to memory-knowledge, signify intellectual things adapted thereto.
기억-지식들이 주님을 떠났다는 것은 이런 얘깁니다. As regards memory-knowledges leaving the Lord, the case is this.
천적인 것들과 지성적인 진리들 사이에 결합이 일어나고 있을 때, 그래서 후자가 천적이 되어갈 때, 비어 있는 모든 것, 즉 결합되지 않고 남아 있는 것들은 스스로 소멸됩니다. 천적인 것의 본성에는 이런 특성도 있습니다. When celestial things are being conjoined with intellectual truths, and these are becoming celestial, then all things that are empty are dissipated of themselves; this is in the nature of the celestial.
※ 지성적인 진리들 안에 사랑과 체어리티가 들어 있어야 천적인 것들과 결합할 수 있습니다. 천적인 것은 사랑과 체어리티로 이루어져 있기 때문입니다. 얼핏 지성적인 진리인 줄 알았으나 나중에 보니 겉만 그런 건 알아서 사라지게 됩니다.
1500. 그의 아내와 And his wife.
이것이, 그들이 천적인 것들과 결합한 진리들을 떠났음에 대한, 즉 기억-지식들이 그들을 떠났음에 대한 의미라는 것은, ‘아내’의 의미가 천적인 것과 결합한 진리인 것과(위에서 언급한), 방금까지 말씀드린 것을 보면 분명합니다. That this signifies that they left the truths that were conjoined with celestial things, that is to say, that memory-knowledges left them, is evident from the signification of “wife” as being truth conjoined with what is celestial (spoken of above), and also from what has just been said.
속이 텅빈 기억-지식들이 천적인 것들을 떠나가는 것은 마치 무익한 것들이 늘 지혜를 떠나는 것과 같습니다. 그들은 마치 알아서 떨어져 나가는 굳은살과 피부 딱지들 같습니다. Empty memory-knowledges leave celestial things, as vain things are wont to leave wisdom; they are as crusts and scales that separate themselves of their own accord.
1501. 그의 모든 소유를 And all that he had.
이것의 의미가 그들이 천적 진리들에 속한 모든 것들을 떠났다라는 것임이 시리즈로 이어지고 있습니다. That this signifies that they left all things that belonged to celestial truths follows in the series.
