17절, 아담에게 이르시되 네가 네 아내의 말을 듣고 내가 네게 먹지 말라 한 나무의 열매를 먹었은즉 땅은 너로 말미암아 저주를 받고 너는 네 평생에 수고하여야 그 소산을 먹으리라 And unto the man he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it; cursed is the ground for thy sake; in great sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.

여호와 하나님(즉, 주님)이 ‘땅’, 즉 겉 사람을 ‘저주하신’ 게 아니라, 반대로 겉 사람이 속 사람한테서 스스로를 외면, 즉 분리했고, 그 결과 저주를 자초한 것인데요, 이것은 앞서 본 내용(AC.245)으로 분명합니다. That Jehovah God (that is, the Lord) did not “curse the ground,” or the external man, but that the external man averted or separated itself from the internal, and thus cursed itself, is evident from what was previously shown (n. 245).
