창2:1-17

1절, 천지와 만물이 다 이루어지니라 Verse 1. And the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the army of them.

※ 1절 속뜻

영적으로 ‘여섯째 날’에 이르게 되었을 정도로 연단을 받은 사람을 의미합니다. 그의 속 사람은 ‘천’(天, heaven),그의 겉 사람이 ‘지’(地, earth)이며, 그의 사랑과 신앙 및 관련 모든 지식이 ‘만물’(萬物, the army of them)입니다.

82. 이 구절의 의미는, 사람이 그동안 연단을 받아 이제 ‘여섯째 날’이라 할 수 있을 정도로 영적인 상태가 되었다(have become)는 것입니다. ‘천’(天, heaven)은 그의 속 사람, ‘지’(地, earth)는 그의 겉 사람입니다. ‘만물’(萬物, the army of them)은 사랑, 신앙, 그리고 그에 속한 지식이며, 이는 앞서 큰 광명체들과 별들로 상징된 것입니다. By these words is meant that man is now rendered so far spiritual as to have become the “sixth day”; “heaven” is his internal man, and “earth” his external; “the army of them” are love, faith, and the knowledges thereof, which were previously signified by the great luminaries and the stars.

속 사람을 ‘하늘’, 겉 사람을 ‘땅’이라 하는 것은, 앞서 전 장에서 이미 인용된 말씀 구절들을 보면 분명히 알 수 있습니다. That the internal man is called “heaven,” and the external “earth,” is evident from the passages of the Word already cited in the preceding chapter,

참고로, 그 말씀 중 몇을 다시 인용하면,

네 구속자요 모태에서 너를 지은 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 나는 만물을 지은 여호와라 홀로 하늘을 폈으며 나와 함께 한 자 없이 땅을 펼쳤고 (사44:24)

하늘을 창조하여 펴시고 땅과 그 소산을 내시며 땅 위의 백성에게 호흡을 주시며 땅에 행하는 자에게 영을 주시는 하나님 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 (사42:5)

이 구절들에 다음 이사야 말씀들을 추가하면,  to which may be added the following from Isaiah:

12내가 사람을 순금보다 희소하게 하며 인생을 오빌의 금보다 희귀하게 하리로다 13그러므로 나 만군의 여호와가 맹렬히 노하는 날에 하늘을 진동시키며 땅을 흔들어 그 자리에서 떠나게 하리니 (사13:12-13) I will make a man more rare than solid gold, even a man than the precious gold of Ophir; therefore I will smite the heavens with terror, and the earth shall be shaken out of its place. (Isa. 13:12–13)

13하늘을 펴고 땅의 기초를 정하고 너를 지은 자 여호와를 어찌하여 잊어버렸느냐 너를 멸하려고 준비하는 저 학대자의 분노를 어찌하여 항상 종일 두려워하느냐 학대자의 분노가 어디 있느냐 16내가 내 말을 네 입에 두고 내 손 그늘로 너를 덮었나니 이는 내가 하늘을 펴며 땅의 기초를 정하며 시온에게 이르기를 너는 내 백성이라 말하기 위함이니라 (사51:13, 16) Thou forgettest Jehovah thy maker, that stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundations of the earth; but I will put my words in thy mouth, and I will hide thee in the shadow of my hand, that I may stretch out the heaven, and lay the foundation of the earth. (Isa. 51:13, 16)

이들 말씀으로부터, ‘하늘’과 ‘땅’이 사람(man)에 관한 서술임을 분명히 알 수 있습니다. 왜냐하면, 비록 이런 표현들이 주로 태고교회를 가리키고는 있지만, 말씀의 내면들은 다음과 같은 속성, 곧, 교회에 관한 언급은 또한 그 교회의 모든 부분에 관한 언급일 수도 있는, 일단 그 자신, 교회가 아니면 그가 교회의 어떤 부분이 되는 건 절대 불가능한, 마치 자신이 주님의 성전이 아닌 자는 성전, 곧 교회와 천국으로 상징되는 그 무엇이 절대 될 수 없는, 그런 속성이 있기 때문입니다. From these words it is evident that both “heaven” and “earth” are predicated of man; for although they refer primarily to the most ancient church, yet the interiors of the Word are of such a nature that whatever is said of the church may also be said of every individual member of it, who, unless he were a church, could not possibly be a part of the church, just as he who is not a temple of the Lord cannot be what is signified by the temple, namely, the church and heaven.

※ 천사들의 모임을 천국이라 하는데, 그 이유는, 천사 하나하나가 사실은 가장 작은 천국이기 때문이라는 원리와 같습니다. 구성원은 천국이 아닌데, 그걸 다 모으면 천국이 되는 그런 건 불가능하고, 넌센스이기 때문입니다.

이런 이유로, 태고교회에 대하여 ‘사람’(man)이라는 단수 표현을 하는 것입니다. It is for this reason that the most ancient church is called “man,” in the singular number.

83. 사람이 ‘여섯째 날’이 되자 ‘천지와 만물’이 ‘다 이루어지니라’라고 합니다. 이때 신앙과 사랑이 하나가 되기 때문입니다. The “heavens and the earth and all the army of them” are said to be “finished,” when man has become the “sixth day,” for then faith and love make a one.

이렇게 될 때, 사랑 혹은 천적 원칙(the celestial principle)이 주요 원리(the principal)가 되기 시작합니다. 신앙이나 영적 원칙이 아니고 말이지요. 이것이 바로 한 사람의 천적 인간이 된다는 것입니다. When they do this, love, and not faith, or in other words the celestial principle, and not the spiritual, begins to be the principal, and this is to be a celestial man.

※ 즉, 무슨 말을 하고 행동을 해도 사랑으로 한다는 말입니다. 사랑하기 때문에 그렇게 말하고, 사랑하기 때문에 그렇게 행동하는, 그런 사람이 바로 천적 인간이라는 것입니다.

※ 이런 사람이 있을까 생각할 때, 거의 영 순위로 떠오르는 사람이 있는데, 그가 바로 성 프란치스코입니다. ‘성’(聖)은 관례상 붙여 부른 것입니다. 엄두섭 저, ‘성 프란치스코’(은성출판사)를 꼭 정독하시기 바랍니다.

※ 영적 인간은 영생을 추구하다 보니 주님을 만나지만, 천적 인간은 주님을 사랑하다 보니 영생을 얻게 됩니다. 좀 과하게 비유하자면, ‘I love you, because I need you.’와 ‘I need you, because I love you.’의 차이와 흡사합니다.
