9하나님이 이르시되 천하의 물이 한곳으로 모이고 뭍이 드러나라 하시니 그대로 되니라 Verse 9, And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together in one place, and let the dry [land] appear; and it was so.

 

※ 9절 속뜻

 

거듭남 가운데 있는 사람이 비로소 속 사람, 겉 사람의 존재와, 주님의 것이 속 사람을 통해서 겉 사람 안으로 흘러들어온다는 사실을 알게 될 때, 그의 기억 안에는 주님으로 말미암은 지식이 쌓여 분류되며, 이 밀려들어 오는 지식은 자연적이든, 영적, 천적이든 그의 기억-지식 가운데 머무르다가 주님에 의해 나중에 꺼내어져 쓰임을 받게 됩니다. ‘한곳으로 모이는 천하의 물’인 ‘바다’가 바로 이 지식이며, ‘뭍’은 ‘땅’, 곧 겉 사람 자신을 말합니다.

 

 

27. 다음과 같은 사실들, 곧 속 사람과 겉 사람이라는 게 있으며, 그리고 진리와 선 (truths and goods) 이라는 것이 있어 주님으로부터 속 사람에서(from, or through) 겉 사람으로 흘러든다는 사실, 비록 그게 겉으로는 안 나타나지만 말입니다. 이런 걸 알게 될 때, 그때 거듭나는 중인 사람 안에 있는 진리와 선(those truths and goods), 즉 참과 선에 관한 지식(the knowledges of the true and the good)은 그의 기억 속으로 차곡차곡 쌓이며, 그 지식([scientifica])가운데로 분류되는데요, 그 이유는, 겉 사람의 기억 속으로 밀어 넣어지는 게 무엇이든, 그게 자연적이든 영적이든, 아니면 천적이든 기억-지식(memory-knowledge)이라는 형태로 거기 머물다가 나중에 주님에 의해 거기서 나오기 때문입니다. 이들 지식이 ‘한곳으로 모인 물’(the waters gathered together into one place)이며, ‘바다’(seas)라고 하는 것입니다. 그러나 겉 사람 자체는 ‘뭍’(the dry [land])이라 하고, 지금은 이어지는 10절에서처럼 ‘땅’(earth)이라고 합니다. When it is known that there is both an internal and an external man, and that truths and goods flow in from, or through, the internal man to the external, from the Lord, although it does not so appear, then those truths and goods, or the knowledges of the true and the good in the regenerating man, are stored up in his memory, and are classed among its knowledges [scientifica]; for whatsoever is insinuated into the memory of the external man, whether it be natural, or spiritual, or celestial, abides there as memory-knowledge, and is brought forth thence by the Lord. These knowledges are the “waters gathered together into one place,” and are called “seas,” but the external man himself is called the “dry [land],” and presently “earth,” as in what follows.
