24절, 이같이 하나님이 그 사람을 쫓아내시고 에덴동산 동쪽에 그룹들과 두루 도는 불 칼을 두어 생명 나무의 길을 지키게 하시니라 And he cast out the man; and he made to dwell from the east toward the garden of Eden cherubim, and the flame of a sword turning itself, to keep the way of the tree of lives.

여기서 다루는 후손들은 여섯 번째와 일곱 번째입니다. 이들은 홍수로 사라졌고, 모두 ‘에덴동산에서 쫓아내신’(cast out of the garden of Eden), 즉 진리에 관한 모든 이해에서 박탈, 광적 탐욕(insane cupidities)과 들러붙은 신념(persuasions)만 남은, 그래서 도저히 사람이라고는 할 수 없는 그런 상태였습니다. It here treats of the sixth and seventh posterities, which perished by the flood, and were altogether “cast out of the garden of Eden,” that is, from all understanding of truth, and became as it were not men, being left to their insane cupidities and persuasions.
