12절, 네가 밭을 갈아도 땅이 다시는 그 효력을 네게 주지 아니할 것이요 너는 땅에서 피하며 유리하는 자가 되리라 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee its strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shalt thou be in the earth.

‘밭을 갈다’는 이런 스키즘(schism)이나 이단 경작(耕作)을, ‘땅이 다시는 그 효력을 네게 주지 아니할 것이요’는 그래봐야 소용없음을 의미합니다. ‘땅에서 피하며 유리하는 자’는 무엇이 선이요 진리인지를 알지 못함입니다. To “till the ground” signifies to cultivate this schism or heresy; “it shall not yield unto thee its strength” signifies that it is barren. To be a “fugitive and a wanderer in the earth” is not to know what is good and true.
