이런 사실은 실제로 주님으로 말미암지 않으면 아무도 알 수 없는 그런 경우인데요, 그래서 저는 지난 수년간 영들, 그리고 천사들과 계속 끊임없이 함께 지내며, 그들이 말하는 것을 듣거나 그들과 대화할 수 있었습니다. 즉 제가 이런 경험을 할 수 있었던 것은 모두 주님의 신성하신 자비(the Lord’s Divine mercy), 곧 주님의 신성하신 허락이 있었기 때문에 가능했던 것이며, 저는 그 결과, 저세상에서 전에는 그 어떤 사람도 알지 못하고, 심지어 생각조차 할 수 없었던 놀라운 일들을 직접 보고 들을 수 있었습니다. 저는 영들의 여러 상태에 관한 가르침을 받았는데요, 사후 영(영혼)들의 상태, 곧 지옥으로 알려진, 불성실한 자들의 통탄할 만한 상태와, 천국으로 알려진, 충실한 사람들의 축복받은 상태, 그리고 특히 천국에서 보편적으로 인정되는 믿음의 교리에 관하여 등, 이런 여러 내용들에 대하여 이어지는 페이지들에서 더 자세히 설명을 드리겠습니다. 이런 내용을 세상에 알릴 수 있게 된 것은 오직 주님의 자비, 곧 주님의 거룩하신 허락으로 말미암음입니다. That this is really the case no one can possibly know except from the Lord. It may therefore be stated in advance that of the Lord’s Divine mercy it has been granted me now for some years to be constantly and uninterruptedly in company with spirits and angels, hearing them speak and in turn speaking with them. In this way it has been given me to hear and see wonderful things in the other life which have never before come to the knowledge of any man, nor into his idea. I have been instructed in regard to the different kinds of spirits; the state of souls after death; hell, or the lamentable state of the unfaithful; heaven, or the blessed state of the faithful; and especially in regard to the doctrine of faith which is acknowledged in the universal heaven; on which subjects, of the Lord’s Divine mercy, more will be said in the following pages.
