첫 번째 상태는 유아기 상태와 중생 직전 상태 둘 다를 포함하는 선행 상태입니다. 이것을 ‘혼돈’(void), ‘공허’(emptiness), ‘흑암’(thick darkness)이라고 하며, 그 첫 번째 움직임, 곧 주님의 자비(the Lord’s mercy)인데요, ‘하나님의 영은 수면 위에 운행하시니라’(the spirit of God moving upon the faces of the waters)가 주님의 첫 번째 움직임입니다. The first state is that which precedes, including both the state from infancy, and that immediately before regeneration. This is called a “void,” “emptiness,” and “thick darkness.” And the first motion, which is the Lord’s mercy, is “the spirit of God moving upon the faces of the waters.”
