7절, 여호와 하나님이 땅의 흙으로 사람을 지으시고 생기를 그 코에 불어넣으시니 사람이 생령이 되니라 And Jehovah God formed man, dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of lives, and man became a living soul.

‘땅의 흙으로 사람을 지으시고’(To form man, dust from the ground)는 그의 겉 사람(external man)을 지으셨다는 것인데요, 이 겉 사람은 5절에, ‘땅을 갈 사람이 없었다’(there was no man to till the ground) 하는 것으로 보아 아직 사람이 아니었음(was not man)을 알 수 있습니다. ‘생기를 그 코에 불어 넣으시니’(To breathe into his nostrils the breath of lives)는 그에게 신앙과 사랑의 생명을 주는 것이며, ‘사람이 생령이 되니라’(man became a living soul)는 그의 겉 사람 또한 살아있는 상태(alive)가 되었다는 의미입니다. To “form man, dust from the ground” is to form his external man, which before was not man; for it is said (verse 5) that there was “no man to till the ground.” To “breathe into his nostrils the breath of lives” is to give him the life of faith and love; and by “man became a living soul” is signified that his external man also was made alive.
