8절, 그들이 그날 바람이 불 때 동산에 거니시는 여호와 하나님의 소리를 듣고 아담과 그의 아내가 여호와 하나님의 낯을 피하여 동산 나무 사이에 숨은지라 And they heard the voice of Jehovah God going to itself in the garden in the air of the day; and the man and his wife hid themselves from the face of Jehovah God in the midst of the tree of the garden.

‘동산에 거니시는 여호와 하나님의 소리’(the voice of Jehovah God going to itself in the garden)가 그들이 두려워한 내적 딕테이트(dictate)를 의미한다는 사실은 말씀에서 ‘소리’(voice)가 상징하는 걸 보면 분명한데요, 말씀에서 ‘여호와의 소리’(the voice of Jehovah)는 말씀 그 자체, 신앙의 교리, 양심이나 내적 주의, 경고, 또한 그 결과 야기되는 모든 책망을 가리키는데 사용되곤 합니다. 그래서 천둥소리를 ‘여호와의 소리’라고 하는데요, 요한계시록입니다. That by the “voice of Jehovah God going to itself in the garden” is meant an internal dictate of which they were afraid, is evident from the signification of “voice” in the Word, where the “voice of Jehovah” is used to designate the Word itself, the doctrine of faith, conscience or a taking notice inwardly, and also every reproof thence resulting; whence it is that thunders are called the “voices of Jehovah,” as in John:
사자가 부르짖는 것 같이 큰 소리로 외치니 그가 외칠 때에 일곱 우레가 그 소리를 내어 말하더라 (계10:3) The angel cried with a loud voice, as a lion roareth, and when he had cried seven thunders uttered their voices, (Rev. 10:3)
그때 외적, 내적 둘 다인 어떤 소리가 있었다는 말씀입니다. 계속해서 denoting that there was then a voice both external and internal. Again:
일곱째 천사가 소리 내는 날 그의 나팔을 불려고 할 때에 하나님이 그의 종 선지자들에게 전하신 복음과 같이 하나님의 그 비밀이 이루어지리라 하더라 (계10:7) In the days of the voice of the seventh angel the mystery of God shall be consummated. (Rev. 10:7)
시편입니다. In David:
32땅의 왕국들아 하나님께 노래하고 주께 찬송할지어다 33옛적 하늘들의 하늘을 타신 자에게 찬송하라 주께서 그 소리를 내시니 웅장한 소리로다 (시68:32-33) Sing unto God, sing praises unto the Lord, who rideth upon the heavens of heavens which were of old; lo, he shall send out his voice, a voice of strength. (Ps. 68:32–33)
‘옛적 하늘들의 하늘’(The heavens of heavens which were of old)은 태고교회의 지혜를, ‘소리’는 계시 및 내적 딕테이트를 뜻합니다. 계속해서 The “heavens of heavens which were of old,” denote the wisdom of the most ancient church; “voice,” revelation, and also an internal dictate. Again:
3여호와의 소리가 물 위에 있도다 영광의 하나님이 우렛소리를 내시니 여호와는 많은 물 위에 계시도다 4여호와의 소리가 힘 있음이여 여호와의 소리가 위엄차도다 5여호와의 소리가 백향목을 꺾으심이여 여호와께서 레바논 백향목을 꺾어 부수시도다 7여호와의 소리가 화염을 가르시도다 8여호와의 소리가 광야를 진동하심이여 여호와께서 가데스 광야를 진동시키시도다 9여호와의 소리가 암사슴을 낙태하게 하시고 삼림을 말갛게 벗기시니 그의 성전에서 그의 모든 것들이 말하기를 영광이라 하도다 (시29:3-5, 7-9) The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters; the voice of Jehovah is in power; the voice of Jehovah is in glory; the voice of Jehovah breaketh the cedars; the voice of Jehovah divideth the flames of fire; the voice of Jehovah maketh the wilderness to shake; the voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds to calve and uncovereth the forests. (Ps. 29:3–5, 7–9)
이사야입니다. And in Isaiah:
30여호와께서 그의 장엄한 목소리를 듣게 하시며 혁혁한 진노로 그의 팔의 치심을 보이시되 맹렬한 화염과 폭풍과 폭우와 우박으로 하시리니 31여호와의 목소리에 앗수르가 낙담할 것이며 주께서는 막대기로 치실 것이라 (사30:30-31) Jehovah shall cause the excellency of his voice to be heard, for through the voice of Jehovah shall Asshur be beaten down. (Isa. 30:30–31)
