창2:16, AC.125

16여호와 하나님이 그 사람에게 명하여 이르시되 동산 각종 나무의 열매는 네가 임의로 먹되 Verse 16. And Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden eating thou mayest eat.

※ 우리말 번역은 원문에는 없는 ‘열매’를 추가, ‘동산 각종 나무의 열매’라 함으로써 아르카나가 더욱 흐릿하게, 안 보이게 하는 아주 큰 실수를 범했습니다. 성경 번역자들이 말씀을 속뜻으로 읽어야 한다는 사실에 대해 전혀 무지했기 때문입니다.

※ 16절 속뜻

주님은 천적 인간에게 퍼셉션을 늘 공급하시되 마치 해가 대지를 환히 늘 비추듯 원 없이 누리게 하셨습니다. 천적 인간은 천지에 가득한 주님의 신성에 하늘의 천사들처럼 이 퍼셉션을 가지고 반응하였습니다.

125. ‘각종 나무의 열매를 임의로 먹되’(To eat of every tree)는 퍼셉션(perception)을 통해 선하고 참된 것(what is good and true)을 아는 것입니다. 앞에서 관찰한 것처럼, ‘나무’(a tree)는 퍼셉션을 의미하기 때문이지요. To “eat of every tree” is to know from perception what is good and true; for, as before observed, a “tree” signifies perception.

※ ‘나무의 열매’라고 번역했지만, 사실은 그냥 ‘나무’입니다. 원본엔 없는 ‘열매’를 추가한 건 실제로 ‘나무’를 먹는다고 하면 굉장히 이상하고 어색해서가 아닐까 싶은데요. 이런 게 말씀을 속뜻, 그러니까 아르카나(arcana)를 전혀 모른 채 겉뜻으로만 번역했다는 증거입니다.

그들은 주님으로부터 끊임없이 퍼셉션을 받았고, 그 퍼셉션으로 자기들 기억 속 소중히 여기고 있던 것들의 참되고 선한 여부를 들여다보다가(reflected on) 그 가운데 혹시 무슨 거짓된 것이 드러나면, 즉시 그 사실을 지각, 피했고, 심지어 공포심을 느낄 정도였는데요, 그런 게 또 천사들의 상태이지요. 그러나 태고교회의 이 퍼셉션을 대신해서 그 후 이 참되고 선한 것에 관한 지식은 전에 계시되어 온 것으로부터 계승되더니, 계속해서 그 다음에는 말씀 안에 계시된 것으로부터 계승되었습니다. They had from the Lord continual perception, so that when they reflected on what was treasured up in the memory they instantly perceived whether it was true and good, insomuch that when anything false presented itself, they not only avoided it but even regarded it with horror: such also is the state of the angels. In place of this perception of the most ancient church, however, there afterwards succeeded the knowledge [cognitio] of what is true and good from what had been previously revealed, and afterwards from what was revealed in the Word.

15여호와 하나님이 그 사람을 이끌어 에덴동산에 두어 그것을 경작하며 지키게 하시고 Verse 15, And Jehovah God took the man, and put him in the garden of Eden, to till it and take care of it.

※ 15절 속뜻

주님이 천적 인간에게 주신 모든 것은 소유하라고 주신 게 아니라 누리라고 주신 것입니다. 천적 인간은 소유가 아닌 누림의 사람입니다.

122. ‘에덴동산’은 설명드린 대로, 천적 인간의 모든 것을 의미합니다. ‘그것을 경작하며 지키게 하시고’(to till it and take care of it)가 의미하는 것은, 곧 그가 그 모든 것을 누리는 건(to enjoy all these things) 허락하시지만, 그 자신의 것으로 소유하는 건(to possess them as his own) 금하신다는 것입니다. 그 모든 것은 주님의 것이기 때문이지요. By the “garden of Eden” are signified all things of the celestial man, as described; by to “till it and take care of it” is signified that it is permitted him to enjoy all these things, but not to possess them as his own, because they are the Lord’s.

123. 천적 인간(The celestial man)은 모든 것이 전체적이든 개별적이든 주님의 것이라는 사실을 기꺼이 인정(acknowledges)합니다. 그가 그런 사실을 퍼셉션으로 지각(perceives)하기 때문이지요. 영적 인간(The spiritual man)도 마찬가지로 인정하지만, 그러나 그는 입으로(with the mouth) 합니다. 그는 그걸 말씀에서 배워서(has learned) 하기 때문입니다. 세속적이고 육적인 인간(The worldly and corporeal man)은 기꺼이로도 억지로도 당최 인정하지를 않는데요(neither acknowledges nor admits), 그는 무엇이든 자기한테 있으면 자기 것(his own)이라고 하며, 만일 그걸 잃으면 자기는 완전히 망할 걸로 여깁니다. The celestial man acknowledges, because he perceives, that all things both in general and in particular are the Lord’s. The spiritual man does indeed acknowledge the same, but with the mouth, because he has learned it from the Word. The worldly and corporeal man neither acknowledges nor admits it; but whatever he has he calls his own, and imagines that were he to lose it, he would altogether perish.

124. 지혜, 지성, 이성, 그리고 지식(wisdom, intelligence, reason, and knowledge [scientia])이 사람에게서가 아닌 주님에게서임은 주님이 가르치신 모든 걸 보면 아주 분명한데요, 마태복음에서, 주님이 자신을 포도원을 만들어 산울타리를 두르고, 농부들에게 세로 준 집주인에 비유하신 것과(21:33), That wisdom, intelligence, reason, and knowledge [scientia] are not of man, but of the Lord, is very evident from all that the Lord taught; as in Matthew, where the Lord compares himself to a householder who planted a vineyard, and hedged it round, and let it out to husbandmen (21:33);

다른 한 비유를 들으라 한 집 주인이 포도원을 만들어 산울타리로 두르고 거기에 즙 짜는 틀을 만들고 망대를 짓고 농부들에게 세로 주고 타국에 갔더니 (마21:33)

아래 요한복음에서 하신 말씀들처럼 말입니다. and in John:

13그러나 진리의 성령이 오시면 그가 너희를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시리니 그가 스스로 말하지 않고 오직 들은 것을 말하며 장래 일을 너희에게 알리시리라 14그가 내 영광을 나타내리니 내 것을 가지고 너희에게 알리시겠음이라 (요16:13-14) The Spirit of truth shall guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself, but what things soever he shall hear, he shall speak; he shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and shall declare it unto you. (John 16:13–14)

요한이 대답하여 이르되 만일 하늘에서 주신 바 아니면 사람이 아무 것도 받을 수 없느니라 (요3:27) A man can receive nothing except it be given him from heaven. (John 3:27)

이것이 정말 그렇다는 것은 천국 아르카나(the arcana of heaven)를 조금이라도 알고 있는 사람이라면 누구나 아는 사실입니다. That this is really so is known to everyone who is acquainted with even a few of the arcana of heaven.
