네 번째 상태는 사람이 사랑의 영향을 받고, 신앙의 빛을 받게 되었을 때입니다. 그는 이전에 실제로 경건한 담론도 하고, 선도 행했습니다. 그러나 그건 그가 수고한, 즉 자초한 시험과 엄격함의 결과이지 신앙과 체어리티로 한 게 아닙니다. 하지만 이제는 사랑의 애정으로, 그리고 빛을 받은 신앙으로 하게 되었고, 그런 까닭에, 이제 신앙과 체어리티는 그의 속 사람 안에서 활활 불타오르는데, 이를 두 ‘광명체’(luminaries)라고 합니다. The fourth state is when the man becomes affected with love, and illuminated by faith. He indeed previously discoursed piously, and brought forth goods, but he did so in consequence of the temptation and straitness under which he labored, and not from faith and charity; wherefore faith and charity are now enkindled in his internal man, and are called two “luminaries.”
