18절, 여호와 하나님이 이르시되 사람이 혼자 사는 것이 좋지 아니하니 내가 그를 위하여 돕는 배필을 지으리라 하시니라 And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone, I will make him a help as with him.

고대에 천적 인간들로서 주님의 인도하심 아래 ‘홀로 산다’ 하던 사람들이 있었는데요, 이들은 더 이상 악이나 악한 영들에게 감염되지 않았기 때문입니다. 이를 또한 유대교회에서는 (가나안) 족속들을 몰아내고나서 자기들끼리만 사는 걸로 표현했는데, 이런 이유로, 말씀에서는 종종 주님의 교회를 ‘혼자’ 있다 하는 것입니다. 예레미야입니다. In ancient times those were said to “dwell alone” who were under the Lord’s guidance as celestial men, because such were no longer infested by evils, or evil spirits. This was represented in the Jewish church also by their dwelling alone when they had driven out the nations. On this account it is sometimes said of the Lord’s church, in the Word, that she is “alone,” as in Jeremiah:

 

여호와의 말씀이니라 너는 일어나 고요하고도 평안히 사는 백성 곧 성문이나 문빗장이 없이 홀로 사는 국민을 치라 (렘49:31) Arise, get you up to a quiet nation that dwelleth confidently, saith the Lord, which hath neither gates nor bar; they dwell alone. (Jer. 49:31)

 

모세오경에서는 In the prophecy of Moses:

 

이스라엘이 안전히 거하며 야곱의 샘은 곡식과 새 포도주의 땅에 홀로 있나니 곧 그의 하늘이 이슬을 내리는 곳에로다 (신33:28) Israel hath dwelt confidently alone. (Deut. 33:28)

 

그리고 발람의 예언을 보면 더욱 분명합니다. And still more clearly in the prophecy of Balaam:

 

내가 바위 위에서 그들을 보며 작은 산에서 그들을 바라보니 이 백성은 홀로 살 것이라 그를 여러 민족 중의 하나로 여기지 않으리로다 (민23:9) Lo, the people dwelleth alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations, (Num. 23:9)

 

여기 ‘여러 민족’은 악들을 상징합니다. 이 태고교회 후손은 홀로 살기, 즉 천적 인간이 되려 하거나 천적 인간으로서 주님의 인도하심을 받으려 하거나 하지 않고, 대신 유대교회처럼 여러 민족 중 하나 되기를 원했습니다. 그들이 이것을 원했기 때문에, ‘사람이 혼자 사는 것이 좋지 아니하니’라 하신 것입니다. 원하는 그가 이미 악 가운데 있어서인데, 그래서 그러라고 허락된 겁니다. where “nations” signify evils. This posterity of the most ancient church was not disposed to dwell alone, that is, to be a celestial man, or to be led by the Lord as a celestial man, but, like the Jewish church, desired to be among the nations. And because they desired this, it is said, “it is not good that the man should be alone,” for he who desires is already in evil, and it is granted him.

 

※ 그러므로 ‘사람이 혼자 사는 것이 좋지 아니하니’는 그 속뜻으로 다시 표현하면, ‘태고교회의 후손은 천적 인간으로서 오직 주님의 인도하심만으로 살기를 원치 않았다’가 되겠습니다.
