25절, 아담과 그의 아내 두 사람이 벌거벗었으나 부끄러워하지 아니하니라 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

사람의 오운(own)은, 앞서 서술한 것처럼, 그저 악할 뿐이며, 만일 눈에 보이게 펼쳐질 경우 그야말로 기괴한 모습입니다. 그러나 주님으로부터 체어리티와 이노센스(charity and innocence)가 그 오운 안으로 스며들면, 그때는 선하고 아름답게 보입니다 (앞서 154번 글에서 보신 것처럼). 체어리티와 이노센스는 그 오운, 즉 사람한테 있는 악하고 거짓된 것을 용서 뿐 아니라 폐지하는 것처럼도 보이게 합니다. 마치 유아들한테서 관찰할 수 있는 것처럼 말입니다. 유아들한테 있어서는 악과 거짓이라는 것은 단순히 안 보일 뿐 아니라, 심지어 무슨 즐거운 놀이처럼 보이기까지도 하는데요, 그들이 부모와 서로를 사랑하는 한, 그리고 자신들의 유아적 이노센스가 고스란히 드러나는 한 그렇습니다. 그래서 다음 주님 말씀처럼, 사람은 어느 정도의 이노센스를 소유하지 않고서는 천국에 들어갈 수 없다고 하는 것입니다. The own of man, as before stated, is mere evil, and when exhibited to view is most deformed, but when charity and innocence from the Lord are instilled into the own, it then appears good and beautiful (as before observed, n. 154). Charity and innocence not only excuse the own (that is, what is evil and false in man), but as it were abolish it, as may be observed in little children, in whom what is evil and false is not merely concealed, but is even pleasing, so long as they love their parents and one another, and their infantile innocence shows itself. Hence it may be known why no one can be admitted into heaven unless he possesses some degree of innocence; as the Lord has said:
