6절, 여자가 그 나무를 본즉 먹음직도 하고 보암직도 하고 지혜롭게 할 만큼 탐스럽기도 한 나무인지라 여자가 그 열매를 따먹고 자기와 함께 있는 남편에게도 주매 그도 먹은지라 And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to give intelligence, and she took of the fruit thereof and did eat, and she gave also to her man [vir] with her, and he did eat.

이들은 태고교회의 네 번째 후손이었는데요, 이들은 자기를 사랑함으로써 유혹에 빠지는 일을 자초했고, 감각과 기억-지식에 관한 걸로 확실히 증명되지 않으면, 이미 계시된 것일지라도 믿기를 꺼리던 사람들이었습니다. This was the fourth posterity of the most ancient church, who suffered themselves to be seduced by self-love [amore proprio] and were unwilling to believe what was revealed, unless they saw it confirmed by the things of sense and of memory-knowledge.
