※ AC.225, 창3:8, '그들이 그날 바람이 불 때'(AC.218-225) - '동산 나무 사이에'의 속뜻

8절, 그들이 그날 바람이 불 때 동산에 거니시는 여호와 하나님의 소리를 듣고 아담과 그의 아내가 여호와 하나님의 낯을 피하여 동산 나무 사이에 숨은지라 And they heard the voice of Jehovah God going to itself in the garden in the air of the day; and the man and his wife hid themselves from the face of Jehovah God in the midst of the tree of the garden.

‘동산 나무 사이에’(the midst of the tree of the garden)가 자연적 선, 그 안에 ‘나무’(a tree)라 하는 무슨 퍼셉션이 있는 자연적 선을 의미한다는 건 천적 인간이 거주했던 ‘동산’(the garden)을 생각하면 분명합니다. 선하고 참된 모든 것이 ‘동산’이기 때문입니다. 그곳을 경작하는 사람에 따라 차이는 있지만 말입니다. 선은 그 인모스트(inmost)가 천적이지 않으면 선이 아닌데요, 주님으로부터 이걸 통해서(from, through) 퍼셉션이 나옵니다. 이 인모스트를 여기서 ‘사이’(the midst)라 하는 건데요, 말씀 어디에서나 그런 것처럼 말입니다. That the “midst of the tree of the garden” signifies natural good, in which there is some perception which is called a “tree,” is also evident from the “garden” in which the celestial man dwelt; for everything good and true is called a “garden,” with a difference according to the man who cultivates it. Good is not good unless its inmost is celestial, from which, or through which, from the Lord, comes perception. This inmost is here called the “midst,” as also elsewhere in the Word.

자비, 평화, 그리고 모든 선, 즉 ‘여호와의 낯’(the faces of Jehovah)은 퍼셉션을 가진 사람들한테 있는 딕테이트의 이유입니다. 그리고 또한 방식은 다르지만 양심이 있는 사람들한테도입니다. 이들은 늘 자비롭게 작동하지만, 사람의 상태에 따라 수용됩니다. 이 사람의 상태, 곧 태고교회의 이 네 번째 후손의 상태는 일종의 자연적 선이었습니다. 자연적 선 상태에 있는 사람들은 두려움과 부끄러움으로 스스로 숨는 그런 캐릭터의 사람들인데요,그 이유는 자신들이 벌거벗었기 때문입니다. 반면, 이 자연적 선조차 없는 사람들은 스스로 숨지도 않습니다. 그들은 수치를 느끼지 못하기 때문입니다. 예레미야 8장 12, 13절은 이런 사람들에 대한 말씀입니다. (위 217번 글을 보세요.)  Mercy, peace, and every good, or the “faces of Jehovah,” are the cause of the dictate with those who have perception, and also, although in a different manner, with those who have conscience, and they always operate mercifully, but are received according to the state in which the man is. The state of this man, that is, of this posterity of the most ancient church, was one of natural good; and they who are in natural good are of such a character that they hide themselves through fear and shame because they are naked; while such as are destitute of natural good do not hide themselves, because they are insusceptible of shame; concerning whom, in Jeremiah 8:12–13. (See above, n. 217.)

12그들이 가증한 일을 행할 때에 부끄러워하였느냐 아니라 조금도 부끄러워하지 않을 뿐 아니라 얼굴도 붉어지지 아니하였느니라 그러므로 그들이 엎드러질 자와 함께 엎드러질 것이라 내가 그들을 벌할 때에 그들이 거꾸러지리라 여호와의 말씀이니라 13여호와의 말씀이니라 내가 그들을 진멸하리니 포도나무에 포도가 없을 것이며 무화과나무에 무화과가 없을 것이며 그 잎사귀가 마를 것이라 내가 그들에게 준 것이 없어지리라 하셨나니 (렘8:12-13)

‘주님의 얼굴’(the face of the Lord)은 자비, 평화, 그리고 모든 선이시므로, 분명한 것은 주님은 만물을 향해 자비로우시며, 결코 그 어느 누구도 외면하는 분이 아니시라는 사실, 오히려 사람, 악 중에 있을 때 얼굴을 돌리는 자는 바로 사람이라는 사실입니다. 주님이 하신 이사야 말씀 As the “face of the Lord” is mercy, peace, and every good, it is evident that he regards all from mercy, and never averts his countenance from any; but that it is man, when in evil, who turns away his face, as is said by the Lord in Isaiah:

오직 너희 죄악이 너희와 너희 하나님 사이를 갈라놓았고 너희 죄가 그의 얼굴을 가리어서 너희에게서 듣지 않으시게 함이니라 (사59:2) Your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you; (Isa. 59:2)

와, 그리고 여기 ‘그들이 자기들이 벗었으므로 여호와 하나님의 낯을 피하여 숨은지라’(they hid themselves from the face of Jehovah, because they were naked) 하신 말씀을 보면 말입니다. and here, “they hid themselves from the face of Jehovah, because they were naked.”
