8258. 이 장에 관한 속뜻은 찬양받으시는 주님이신데요, 주님이 주님의 인성(His Human)을 영화롭게 하신 후, 주님은 저세상에서(in the other life) 선한 사람들을 감염시키던 악한 자들은 지옥으로 내쫓으신 반면, 이미 감염되었던 선한 사람들은 천국으로 올리셨다는 점에서 말입니다. 이런 점들이 이 예언적 노래에 담긴 것들의 속뜻입니다. In the internal sense of this chapter the Lord is celebrated, in that after He had glorified His Human, He cast down into the hells the evil who were infesting the good in the other life; and raised into heaven the good who had been infested. These are the things which are contained in this prophetic song in the internal sense.

 

8259. 그 후 영적 교회에 속한 사람들의 두 번째 시험이 속뜻으로 다루어지는데요, 바로 물이 쓴 마라에서 있었던 사람들의 원망(the murmuring of the people at Marah)입니다. 그 후에는 위로(consolation)인데요, 이를 ‘물 샘 열둘과 종려나무 일흔 그루’가 있는 엘림(Elim)으로 나타내고 있습니다. Afterward the second temptation of those who were of the spiritual church is treated of in the internal sense, which is described by the murmuring of the people at Marah, where the waters were bitter; and after this, consolation is treated of, which is signified by the encampment at Elim, where were twelve springs and seventy palm trees.
