모르면서 선한 사람들이 있습니다. 모르지만 착한 사람들입니다. 겸손하고 순진하며, 주위를 환하게 하는 사람들입니다. 그분들한테서는 좋은 기운이 느껴집니다. 같이 있으면 마음이 편하고 좋습니다.
반면, 모르면서 악한 사람들이 있습니다. 모르는데다 나쁘기까지 합니다. 교만하고 약삭빠르며, 주위를 어둡게 하는 사람들입니다. 그들한테서는 나쁜 기운이 느껴집니다. 같이 있고 싶지 않고, 마음이 불편하며 싫습니다.
이런 건 종교, 학력, 소유, 정치 이념하고도 별로 상관없는 거 같습니다. 교회를 다니니 안 다니니, 대학을 나왔니 안 나왔니, 부자니 가난하니, 그리고 자유 민주주의니 사회, 공산 민주주의니 하고도 상관없는 것 같습니다. 아, 이 정치 이념은 좀... 다른가요?
자칭 기독교인이다, 나는 교회 다닌다 하여도 악인이 있는가 하면, 타 종교인이어도 선한 사람들이 있는 걸 보면 말입니다. 또 대학을 나왔어도 악인이 있는가 하면, 안 나왔어도 선인이 있는 걸 보면, 그리고 부자이면서도 선한 사람들이 있는가 하면, 가난하면서도 악한 사람들이 있는 걸 보면 말입니다.
소위 좌파라 하는 사람들, 그러니까 정치 이념은 좀 다른 것 같습니다. 네, 이 경우는 좀... 뭘 모르고 좌파하는 사람들이라면 몰라도 알고 하는 사람들은... 그냥 악과 거짓의 화신들인 것 같아요. 이들은 살아생전 이미 지옥에 속한, 자기에게 맞는 지옥 특정 사회에 속한 사람들입니다.
이 모든 건 자기 사랑, 자아 사랑(the love of self)의 사람, 그러니까 잘난 체하는 사람, 곧 주님의 자리에 자기가 올라서고자 하는 사람인가 아닌가로 결정 나는 것 같습니다. 목회자이든 평신도이든 상관없이 말입니다. 종교, 정치 이념, 학력, 소유 등을 전부 자기를 사랑하는 용도로 그럴듯하게 이용하는 사람들입니다.
이 사람들은 주님과 천국, 영계, 속 사람, 내면세계 등 앞으로 우리가 가게 될 ‘속’에 속한 나라에 대해 거의 모르면서도 ‘겉’이 아닌 ‘속’ 얘기를 하면 화를 내고 싫어하는 사람들입니다. ‘겉’을 부정하는 게 아니라 ‘속’을 통해서 ‘겉’을 바라보아야 한다는 데도 말입니다.
정말 중요한 건, 모르면서 선해도, 그러니까 선해 보여도 그 뿌리가 ‘주님 사랑’(the love of Lord)이어야 한다는 것입니다. 얼마든지 겉모습일 수 있기 때문입니다. 속 사람이 선해야 합니다. 천국은 속 사람이 선한 사람들의 나라이기 때문입니다.
주112. 가장 높은 뜻으로, 주님은 동방(the east [oriens])이시다. 주님은 천국의 해이시며, 늘 떠오르시고 결코 지지 않으시기 때문이다 (AC.101, 5097, 9668). In the highest sense the Lord is the east [oriens], because He is the sun of heaven, which is always rising and never setting (n. 101, 5097, 9668).
주113. 천국의 모두는 주님을 향해 몸을 돌린다 (AC.9828, 10130, 10189, 10420). In heaven all turn themselves to the Lord (n. 9828, 10130, 10189, 10420). 그럼에도 주님을 향해 몸을 돌리는 것은 천사들이 아니다. 주님이 천사들로 하여금 주님을 향해 돌아서게 하시는 것이다 (AC.10189). Nevertheless, it is not the angels that turn themselves to the Lord, but the Lord turns the angels to Himself (n. 10189). 천사들이 주님과 함께하는 게 아니라 주님이 천사들과 함께하시는 것이다 (AC.9415). It is not that the angels are present with the Lord, but the Lord is present with the angels (n. 9415).
주114. 영계에서는 모두가 항상 자신들의 사랑을 향해 몸을 돌린다. 그리고 그곳의 방위들은 얼굴에서 시작하고 얼굴로 결정된다 (AC.10130, 10189, 10420, 10702). In the spiritual world all constantly turn themselves to their loves; and the quarters there have their beginning in the face and are determined by it (n. 10130, 10189, 10420, 10702). 얼굴은 내면(the interiors)에 대한 상응으로 형성된다 (AC.4791–4805, 5695). The face is formed to a correspondence with the interiors (n. 4791–4805, 5695). 그래서 내면은 얼굴로 빛난다 (AC.3527, 4066, 4796). Therefore the interiors shine forth from the face (n. 3527, 4066, 4796). 천사들한테는 얼굴과 내면이 하나다 (AC.4796, 4797, 4799, 5695, 8250). With angels the face makes one with the interiors (n. 4796, 4797, 4799, 5695, 8250). 얼굴과 그 근육들 안으로 흘러 들어가는 내면의 입류 (AC.3631, 4800). 주115. 이마는 천국 사랑에 상응한다. 그래서 말씀에서 ‘이마’는 사랑을 의미한다 (AC.9936). The forehead corresponds to heavenly love; therefore in the Word the “forehead” signifies that love (n. 9936). 눈은 이해에 상응한다. 이해는 내적 시각(internal sight)이기 때문이다 (AC.2701, 4410, 4526, 9051, 10569). The eye corresponds to the understanding, because the understanding is internal sight (n. 2701, 4410, 4526, 9051, 10569). 이런 이유로, ‘눈을 든다’(to lift up the eyes), ‘본다’(to see)는 이해, 지각 및 보는 것(to observe)을 의미한다 (AC.2789, 2829, 3198, 3202, 4083, 4086, 4339, 5684). For this reason “to lift up the eyes” and “to see” signifies to understand, perceive, and observe (n. 2789, 2829, 3198, 3202, 4083, 4086, 4339, 5684).
주116. 말씀에서 ‘주님의 살’(the Lord’s flesh)은 주님의 신적 인성(His Divine human)을, 그리고 주님 사랑의 신적 선(the Divine good of His love)을 의미한다 (AC.3813, 7850, 9127, 10283). In the Word “the Lord’s flesh” signifies His Divine human, and the Divine good of His love (n. 3813, 7850, 9127, 10283). 그리고 ‘주님의 피’(the Lord’s blood)는 신적 진리와 신앙의 거룩함(Divine truth and the holy of faith)을 의미한다 (AC.4735, 4978, 6978, 7317, 7326, 7846, 7850, 7877, 9127, 9393, 10026, 10033, 10152, 10210). 주117. 말씀에서 ‘동’(東, the east)은 분명하게 지각된 사랑을 (AC.1250, 3708); In the Word the “east” signifies love clearly perceived (n. 1250, 3708); ‘서’(西, the west)는 흐릿하게 지각된 사랑을 (AC.3708, 9653); the “west” love obscurely perceived (n. 3708, 9653); ‘남’(南, the south)은 빛, 즉 지혜와 지성의 상태를 (AC.1458, 3708, 5672); the “south” a state of light, that is, of wisdom and intelligence (n. 1458, 3708, 5672); ‘북’(北, the north)은 불명료한 상태를 의미한다 (AC.3708). and the “north” that state in obscurity (n. 3708).

천국 천사들의 상태 변화Changes of State of the Angels in Heaven
주120. 천국에는 아침 전 새벽에 상응하는 상태는 있지만, 밤에 상응하는 상태는 없다 (AC.6110). In heaven there is a state corresponding to the dawn that precedes morning, but no state corresponding to night (n. 6110). ‘새벽’은 처음 상태와 마지막 상태 사이 중간 상태다 (AC.10134).
