18절, 땅이 네게 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴를 낼 것이라 네가 먹을 것은 밭의 채소인즉 And the thorn and the thistle shall it bring forth unto thee, and thou shalt eat the herb of the field.

‘먹을 것은 밭의 채소인즉’(to eat the herb of the field)(즉, 거친 음식)이 들짐승처럼 사는 것(to live like a wild animal)임은, 다니엘서 느부갓네살에 관한 말씀을 보면 분명합니다. That to “eat the herb of the field” (that is, wild food) denotes to live like a wild animal, is evident from what is said of Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel:

 

왕이 사람에게서 쫓겨나서 들짐승과 함께 살며 소처럼 풀을 먹으며 하늘 이슬에 젖을 것이요 이와 같이 일곱 때를 지낼 것이라 그때에 지극히 높으신 이가 사람의 나라를 다스리시며 자기의 뜻대로 그것을 누구에게든지 주시는 줄을 아시리이다 (단4:25) They shall drive thee from man, and thy dwelling shall be with the beast of the field; they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee. (Dan 4:25)

 

그리고 이사야에서 And in Isaiah:

 

26네가 어찌하여 듣지 못하였느냐 이 일들은 내가 태초부터 행한 바요 상고부터 정한 바로서 이제 내가 이루어 네가 견고한 성읍들을 헐어 돌무더기가 되게 하였노라 27그러므로 그 주민들이 힘이 약하여 놀라며 수치를 당하여 들의 풀 같이, 푸른 나물 같이, 지붕의 풀 같이, 자라지 못한 곡초 같이 되었느니라 (사37:26–27) Hast thou not heard how I have done it long ago, and from the days of old have I formed it; now have I brought it to pass, and it shall be to lay waste bulwarks, fenced cities, in heaps; and their inhabitants, short of hand, were dismayed and put to shame; they were made the grass of the field, and the green [olus] of the herb, the grass of the housetops, and a field parched before [coram] the standing corn. (Isa. 37:26–27)
