천국 전체는 한 사람 모습이다 All Heaven in the Aggregate Reflects a Single Man

주60. 천국 전체는 한 사람 모양이며, 그래서 천국을 ‘가장 큰 사람’(the Greatest Man)이라고 한다 (AC.2996, 2998, 3624–3649, 3741–3745, 4625). Heaven in the whole complex appears in form like a man, and for this reason heaven is called the Greatest Man (n. 2996, 2998, 3624–3649, 3741–3745, 4625).

주61. 사람의 의지는 그의 생명 자체(the very being, esse)이며, 그의 이해(understanding)는 거기서 나오는 그의 생명의 외양(the outgo, existere)이다 (AC.3619, 5002, 9282). The will of man is the very being [esse] of his life, and his understanding is the outgo [existere] of his life therefrom (n. 3619, 5002, 9282). 사람의 주된 생명(chief life)은 그의 의지의 생명(the life of his will)이며, 거기서 이해의 생명(the life of the understanding)이 나온다 (AC.585, 590, 3619, 7342, 8885, 9282, 10076, 10109, 10110). Man is man by virtue of his will and his understanding therefrom (n. 8911, 9069, 9071, 10076, 10109, 10110).

주62. 말씀에서 ‘의’(義, righteousness)는 선으로, ‘공도’(公道, judgment)는 진리로 서술된다. 그러므로 ‘의와 공도를 행하는 것’(to do righteousness and judgment, 창18:19)은 선하고 참된 것을 행하는 것이다 (AC.2235, 9857). In the Word “righteousness” is predicated of good, and “judgment” of truth; therefore “to do righteousness and judgment” is to do what is good and true (n. 2235, 9857).

내가 그로 그 자식과 권속에게 명하여 여호와의 도를 지켜 의와 공도를 행하게 하려고 그를 택하였나니 이는 나 여호와가 아브라함에게 대하여 말한 일을 이루려 함이니라 (창18:19)

주63. 가장 높은 뜻으로 주님은 이웃이시며, 그래서 그 결과 주님을 사랑하는 것은 주님으로 말미암은 것을 사랑하는 것, 즉 선과 진리를 사랑하는 것이다. 주님은 주님으로 말미암은 모든 것 가운데 계시기 때문이다 (AC.2425, 3419, 6706, 6711, 6819, 6823, 8123). In the highest sense the Lord is the neighbor; consequently to love the Lord is to love that which is from Him, that is to love good and truth because the Lord is in everything that is from Him (n. 2425, 3419, 6706, 6711, 6819, 6823, 8123). 그런 까닭에, 주님으로 말미암은 모든 선이 이웃이며, 그 선을 의도하고 행하는 것이 이웃을 사랑하는 것이다 (AC.5028, 10336). Therefore all good that is from the Lord is the neighbor, and to will and do that good is to love the neighbor (n. 5028, 10336).

주64. ‘예루살렘’(Jerusalem)은 교회를 의미한다 (AC.402, 3654, 9166). “Jerusalem” means the church (n. 402, 3654, 9166).

주65. ‘성곽’(The wall)은 거짓과 악의 폭력(assault)에 대항, 그것을 막아서는 진리를 의미한다 (AC.6419). The “wall” means truth defending against the assault of falsities and evils (n. 6419).

주66. ‘열둘, 십이’(12, Twelve)는 콤플렉스 내 모든 진리와 선을 의미한다 (AC.577, 2089, 2129, 2130, 3272, 3858, 3913). “Twelve” means all truths and goods in the complex (n. 577, 2089, 2129, 2130, 3272, 3858, 3913). 마찬가지로 ‘칠십이’(72)도, ‘백사십사’(144)도 그렇다. 이 숫자들은 12의 배수들이기 때문이다 (AC.7973). Likewise “seventy-two,” and “a hundred and forty-four,” since this comes from twelve multiplied into itself (n. 7973). 말씀에 나오는 모든 숫자는 뭔가를 의미한다 (AC.482, 487, 647, 648, 755, 813, 1963, 1988, 2075, 2252, 3252, 4264, 4495, 5265). All numbers in the Word signify things (n. 482, 487, 647, 648, 755, 813, 1963, 1988, 2075, 2252, 3252, 4264, 4495, 5265). 배수들은 같은 걸 상징하는데, 이때의 상징은 단순, 기본 숫자에 곱셈을 통해 나오는 그런 상징이다 (AC.5291, 5335, 5708, 7973). Multiplied numbers have a like signification as the simple numbers from which they arise by multiplication (n. 5291, 5335, 5708, 7973).

주67. 말씀에 나오는 ‘측량, 측정’(Measure)은 진리와 선에 관한 어떤 것의 퀄러티를 의미한다 (AC.3104, 9603). “Measure” in the Word signifies the quality of a thing in respect to truth and good (n. 3104, 9603).

주68. 말씀의 영적인 뜻, 즉 속뜻에 관하여는 계시록에 나오는 백마 관련 설명과, 새 예루살렘과 그 천적 교리의 부록을 보라. In regard to the spiritual or internal sense of the Word see the explanation of the white horse in Revelation, and the appendix to the New Jerusalem and Its Heavenly Doctrine.

주69. 자신의 겉 사람이 가진 감각적 사고를 극복, 더 위로 고양(高揚)되지 않으면 사람은 매우 어리석게 된다 (AC.5089). Unless man is raised above the sense conceptions of the external man he has very little wisdom (n. 5089). 지혜로운 사람은 이들 감각적 사고를 극복, 초월하여 생각한다 (AC.5089, 5094). The wise man thinks above these sense conceptions (n. 5089, 5094). 이런 걸 극복, 위로 오를 수만 있다면, 사람은 더욱 맑고 환한 빛 가운데로 들어가게 되며, 그렇게 해서 결국 천국의 빛 가운데로 들어가게 된다 (AC.6183, 6313, 6315, 9407, 9730, 9922). When man is raised above these, he comes into clearer light, and finally into heavenly light (n. 6183, 6313, 6315, 9407, 9730, 9922). 고대인들은 올라감과 이런 것들로부터 물러남에 대해 알고 있었다 (AC.6313). Elevation and withdrawal from these was known to the ancients (n. 6313).

주70. 내면(interiors)에 관한 한, 사람은 하나의 영이다 (AC.1594). In respect to his interiors man is a spirit (n. 1594). 그리고 그 영이 그 사람 자체이며, 그 몸이 사는 건 그 영으로 말미암는다 (AC.447, 4622, 6054). And that spirit is the man himself, and it is from that spirit that the body lives (n. 447, 4622, 6054).

Inasmuch as each angel is a recipient of Divine order from the Lord, he is in a human form, perfect and beautiful in the measure of his reception (n. 322, 1880, 1881, 3633, 3804, 4622, 4735, 4797, 4985, 5199, 5530, 6054, 9879, 10177, 10594). 질서가 존재하는 건 신적 진리에 의해서이며, 신적 선은 질서의 에센셜이다 (AC.2451, 3166, 4390, 4409, 5232, 7256, 10122, 10555). It is by means of Divine truth that order exists; and Divine good is the essential of order (n. 2451, 3166, 4390, 4409, 5232, 7256, 10122, 10555).

주72. 상응의 지식은 그 밖의 다른 지식을 얼마나 초월하는가 (AC.4280)? How far the knowledge of correspondences excels other knowledges (n. 4280). 상응 지식은 태고인의 지식 중 첫째였다. 그러나 지금은 완전히 잊혔다 (AC.3021, 3419, 4280, 4749, 4844, 4964, 4966, 6004, 7729, 10252). The knowledge of correspondences was the chief knowledge of the ancient people; but at the present day it is wholly forgotten (n. 3021, 3419, 4280, 4749, 4844, 4964, 4966, 6004, 7729, 10252). 상응 지식은 동방 여러 나라들과 이집트에서 번창했다 (AC.5702, 6692, 7097, 7779, 9391, 10407). The knowledge of correspondences flourished among the Eastern nations and in Egypt (n. 5702, 6692, 7097, 7779, 9391, 10407).

주73. 심장과 폐와 가장 큰 사람, 곧 천국 간 상응, 경험으로부터 (AC.3883–3896). The correspondence of the heart and lungs with the Greatest Man, which is heaven, from experience (n. 3883–3896). 심장은 천적 나라 안에 있는 것들과, 폐는 영적 나라 안에 있는 것들과 상응한다 (AC.3885–3887). The heart corresponds to those in the celestial kingdom, and the lungs to those in the spiritual kingdom (n. 3885–3887). 심장의 것과 같은, 그리고 폐의 것과 같은, 그러나 내적인(interior) 맥박과 호흡이 천국에 있다 (AC.3884, 3885, 3887). 무심한 듯 사랑해야 지옥이 그냥 지나친다! (2025/8/7)

제목 그대롭니다.

지옥은 우리를 흔들어 신앙에서 떠나 아무렇게나 살다 죽어 지옥 가기를, 지옥에 쉽게 데려갈 수 있기를 끊임없이 도모하고 있습니다.

그 가장 가성비 좋은 방법은 우리가 가장 사랑하는 대상을 건드리는 것입니다. 그러면 우리는 정신 못 차리는 상태가 되니까요! 돈, 즉 소유든 가족이든, 아니면 자존심이든 편안하고 편리한 삶이든 말입니다.

그래서 우리가 가장 사랑하는 대상이 무엇인지를 늘 주시하고 있습니다. 주님인지 아닌지를 말입니다.

우리가 가장 사랑하는 대상이 주님이면, 그리고 그것이 여러 시험을 통해 확인이 되면, 그때는 지옥은 우리를 포기하고 물러납니다. 시간 낭비하지 않겠다는 것이죠.

이 상태가 거듭남이 완성된 상태, 곧 일곱째 날 상태인 것입니다. 안식일의 상태이며, 태고교회의 상태입니다. 수도사들, 수도 영성 하시는 분들은 이 상태를 가리켜 합일(合一), 득의(得意), 완덕(完德)의 상태라고도 합니다.

그래서 주님은 우리에게 크고 첫째 되는 계명을 다음과 같이 알려주신 것입니다.

37예수께서 이르시되 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라 하셨으니 38이것이 크고 첫째 되는 계명이요 39둘째도 그와 같으니 네 이웃을 네 자신 같이 사랑하라 하셨으니 40이 두 계명이 온 율법과 선지자의 강령이니라 (마22:37-40)

그러므로 주님 아닌 다른 것들은 지옥이 눈치채지 못하도록 무심한 듯 사랑하시기 바랍니다. 이 말이 어려우면, 그것들을 사랑하되 주님을 통해서 사랑하시기 바랍니다.

그러면 전혀 새로운 관점, 시야가 열릴 것입니다. 그것은 아래 주님 말씀에 담겨 있습니다.

18그런즉 씨 뿌리는 비유를 들으라 19아무나 천국 말씀을 듣고 깨닫지 못할 때는 악한 자가 와서 그 마음에 뿌려진 것을 빼앗나니 이는 곧 길 가에 뿌려진 자요 20돌밭에 뿌려졌다는 것은 말씀을 듣고 즉시 기쁨으로 받되 21그 속에 뿌리가 없어 잠시 견디다가 말씀으로 말미암아 환난이나 박해가 일어날 때에는 곧 넘어지는 자요 22가시떨기에 뿌려졌다는 것은 말씀을 들으나 세상의 염려와 재물의 유혹에 말씀이 막혀 결실하지 못하는 자요 23좋은 땅에 뿌려졌다는 것은 말씀을 듣고 깨닫는 자니 결실하여 어떤 것은 백 배, 어떤 것은 육십 배, 어떤 것은 삼십 배가 되느니라 하시더라 (마13:18-23)

보통 교회 오래 다니신 분들은 에이, 설마 내 마음 밭이 길가나 돌밭, 가시떨기에 해당할까 하시지만, 의외로 실제 그런 분들이 많습니다. 지옥이 그냥 툭하고 쳐보기만 해도 그냥 그 실상이 다 탄로 납니다. 착각들을 하며 사시는 겁니다.

이런 큰 실패, 낭패, 부끄러움을 여러 차례 겪으면서 성장하는 것이지요.

제 얘기이기도 합니다.

당부드립니다. 무심한 듯 사랑하시기 바랍니다. 그래야 지옥이 눈치채지 못하고 지나갑니다.

천국들은 셀 수 없이 많은 공동체들로 구성되어 있다 The Heavens Are Made Up of Countless Communities

주44. 무한한 다양성이 존재하며, 그 어떤 것도 결코 다른 것과 똑같지 않다 (AC.7236, 9002). There is infinite variety, and never anything the same with any other (n. 7236, 9002). 천국에는 그래서 무한한 다양성이 존재한다 (AC.684, 690, 3744, 5598, 7236). So in the heavens there is infinite variety (n. 684, 690, 3744, 5598, 7236). 천국의 무한한 다양성은 선의 다양성이다 (AC.3744, 4005, 7236, 7833, 7836, 9002). Varieties in the heavens, which are infinite, are varieties of good (n. 3744, 4005, 7236, 7833, 7836, 9002). 이들 다양성은 다양한 진리(truths that are manifold)를 통해 존재하며, 각자의 선은 이들로부터 나온다 (AC.3470, 3804, 4149, 6917, 7236). These varieties exist through truths that are manifold, from which is each one’s good (n. 3470, 3804, 4149, 6917, 7236). 천국의 모든 공동체와 어느 한 공동체 내 모든 천사가 서로 구분되는 것은 바로 이런 이유 때문이다 (AC.690, 3241, 3519, 3804, 3986, 4067, 4149, 4263, 7236, 7833, 7836). It is because of this that all the societies in the heavens, and all angels in a society, are distinct from each other (n. 690, 3241, 3519, 3804, 3986, 4067, 4149, 4263, 7236, 7833, 7836). 그럼에도 그들 모두는 주님으로 말미암는 사랑을 통해 하나가 된다 (AC.457, 3986). Nevertheless they all make one through love from the Lord (n. 457, 3986).

주45. 천국 모든 공동체는 그들 생명의 상태 차이, 곧 사랑과 신앙의 상태 차이에 따라 어떤 일정한 위치가 정해진다 (AC.1274, 3638, 3639). All the societies of heaven have a constant position in accordance with the differences of their state of life, thus in accordance with the differences of love and faith (n. 1274, 3638, 3639). 저세상, 곧 영계에 있는, 거리, 상황, 장소 및 시공간에 관한 놀라운 것들 (AC.1273–1277). Wonderful things in the other life, that is, in the spiritual world, respecting distance, situation, place, space and time (n. 1273–1277).

주46. 모든 자유는 사랑과 애정과 관련이 있다. 사람은 자기가 사랑하는 것을 자유롭게 행하기 때문이다 (AC.2870, 3158, 8987, 8990, 9585, 9591). All freedom pertains to love and affection, since what a man loves, that he does freely (n. 2870, 3158, 8987, 8990, 9585, 9591). 자유는 사랑과 관계가 있기 때문에, 모든 사람의 생명과 기쁨(delight)은 거기에서 나온다 (AC.2873). Because freedom pertains to love, everyone’s life and delight is therefrom (n. 2873). 사람이 자유롭게 한 게 아니면, 그 어떤 것도 그 사람 고유 본성으로 나타나지 않는다 (AC.2880). Nothing appears as one’s own, except what is from his freedom (n. 2880). 더할 나위 없는 자유는 주님의 인도를 받는 것이다. 사람은 그때 선과 진리의 사랑으로 인도받기 때문이다 (AC.892, 905, 2872, 2886, 2890–2892, 9096, 9586–9591). The veriest freedom is to be led by the Lord, because one is thus led by the love of good and truth (n. 892, 905, 2872, 2886, 2890–2892, 9096, 9586–9591).

주47. 천국에서는 모든 가까움, 관계, 연결 및 마치 피로 맺어진 것과 같음은 선으로부터, 그리고 그 선과 얼마나 일치하고 차이나고 하는 걸로 말미암는다 (AC.685, 917, 1394, 2739, 3612, 3815, 4121). All nearness, relationships, connections, and as it were ties of blood in heaven are from good and in accordance with its agreements and differences (n. 685, 917, 1394, 2739, 3612, 3815, 4121).

주48. 하나의 영적 스피어(sphere)는, 이는 생명의 스피어인데, 모든 사람, 영 및 천사에게서 나와 그들을 에워싼다 (AC.4464, 5179, 7454, 8630). A spiritual sphere, which is the sphere of life, flows out from every man, spirit, and angel, and encompasses them (n. 4464, 5179, 7454, 8630). 이것은 그들의 애정과 사고(thought)의 생명에서 흘러나와 퍼져나간다 (AC.2489, 4464, 6206). 주49. 천국에서는 모든 선의 쉐어링(sharing)이 가능하다. 천국의 사랑은 자기가 가진 모든 걸 남과 쉐어하기 때문이다 (AC.549, 550, 1390, 1391, 1399, 10130, 10723). In the heavens a sharing of all goods is possible because heavenly love shares with another everything that is its own (n. 549, 550, 1390, 1391, 1399, 10130, 10723).

각 공동체는 보다 작은 형태의 천국이고, 각 천사는 가장 작은 형태의 천국이다 Each Society Is a Heaven in a Smaller Form, and Each Angel in the Smallest Form

In the Word the Lord is called an angel (n. 6280, 6831, 8192, 9303). 어떤 천사 사회 전체를 하나의 천사라 한다. 미가엘과 라파엘은 천사들의 사회이며, 그들의 하는 일을 따라 그렇게 부르는 것이다 (AC.8192). A whole angelic society is called an angel, and Michael and Raphael are angelic societies, so called from their functions (n. 8192). 천국과 천사들의 사회는 무슨 이름이 없고, 다만 그들 선의 퀄러티와 그에 대한 걸로(by the idea of it) 구별된다 (AC.1705, 1754). The societies of heaven and the angels have no names, but are distinguished by the quality of their good, and by the idea of it (n. 1705, 1754).

주51. 천국은 어떤 정해진 절차, 규정과 상관없이 오직 자비만으로(from mercy apart from means) 들어갈 수 있는 데가 아니다. 오히려 그 반대, 곧 삶이, 생활이 받쳐줘야 한다. 주님으로 말미암아 사람이 천국까지 인도함을 받는 일생의 모든 것이 자비이다. 자비, 곧 은혜란 바로 이런 것을 말한다 (AC.5057, 10659). Heaven is not granted from mercy apart from means, but in accordance with the life; yet everything of the life by which man is led to heaven by the Lord belongs to mercy; this is what is meant by mercy (n. 5057, 10659). 만일 천국이 정해진 절차, 규정과 상관없이 그저 은혜로만 들어갈 수 있는 데라면, 천국은 모든 사람이 다 들어갈 수 있는 데가 된다 (AC.2401). If heaven were granted from mercy apart from means it would be granted to all (n. 2401). 천국을 정해진 절차, 규정과 상관없이 단순히 은혜로 들어가는 곳이라고 믿었지만, 사후 내던져짐을 당한 어느 악한 영들에 관하여 (AC.4226). About some evil spirits cast down from heaven who believed that heaven was granted to everyone from mercy apart from means (n. 4226).

주52. 천국은 사람 안에 있다 (AC.3884). Heaven is in man (n. 3884).

주53. 모든 완전체는 많은 부분들의 하모니와 콘서트에서 온다. 그렇지 않으면, 전혀 무슨 퀄러티라는 걸 가질 수 없다 (AC.457). Every whole is from the harmony and concert of many parts. Otherwise it has no quality (n. 457). 이런 사실로, 천국 전체는 하나의 완전체다 (AC.457). From this the entire heaven is a whole (n. 457). 그리고 거기 있는 모든 것이 주님을 유일한 단 하나의 목적으로 여기는 이유이다 (AC.9828). And for the reason that all there have regard to one end, which is the Lord (n. 9828).

주54. 어떤 교회든 선이 그 교회의 특징(characteristic)이요 에센셜(essential)이며, 진리 또한 선에서 분리된 게 아닌 한, 그 교회는 하나다 (AC.1285, 1316, 2982, 3267, 3445, 3451, 3452). If good were the characteristic and essential of the church, and not truth apart from good, the church would be one (n. 1285, 1316, 2982, 3267, 3445, 3451, 3452). 선으로 말미암아 모든 교회는 주님 앞에서 하나의 교회가 된다 (AC.7396, 9276). From good all churches make one church before the Lord (n. 7396, 9276).

주55. 교회는 사람 안에 있지 사람 밖에 있는 게 아니다. 교회는 자기 안에 교회가 있는 사람들로 구성된다 (AC.3884, [6637]). The church is in man, and not outside of him, and the church in general is made up of men that have the church in them (n. 3884, [6637]).

주56. 자기가 하나의 교회인 사람은 가장 큰 천국 모습을 닮은 가장 작은 형태의 천국이다. 그의 마음에 속한 그의 내면이 천국 형태를 따라 정돈되어 있기 때문이며, 그 결과, 천국의 모든 걸 수용할 수 있기 때문이다 (AC.911, 1900, 1928, 3624–3631, 3634, 3884, 4041, 4279, 4523, 4524, 4625, 6013, 6057, 9279, 9632). A man who is a church is a heaven in the smallest form after the image of the greatest, because his interiors, which belong to his mind, are arranged after the form of heaven, and consequently for reception of all things of heaven (n. 911, 1900, 1928, 3624–3631, 3634, 3884, 4041, 4279, 4523, 4524, 4625, 6013, 6057, 9279, 9632).

주57. 사람은 내면과 외면이 있다. 내면은 천국 이미지를 따라 형성되었고, 외면은 세상 이미지를 따라 되었다. 이런 이유로, 사람을 가리켜 고대인들은 소(小)우주라 하였다 (AC.3628, 4523, 4524, 5115, 5368, 6013, 6057, 9279, 9706, 10156, 10472). Therefore man was created to have the world in him serve heaven, and this takes place with the good; but it is the reverse with the evil, in whom heaven serves the world (n. 9278, 9283).

주58. 주님은 질서이시다. 주님으로 말미암는 신적 선과 진리가 질서를 만든다 (AC.1728, 1919, 2011, 2258, 5110, 5703, 8988, 10336, 10619). The Lord is order, since the Divine good and truth that go forth from the Lord make order (n. 1728, 1919, 2011, 2258, 5110, 5703, 8988, 10336, 10619). 신적 진리는 질서에 관한 법이다 (AC.2447, 7995). Divine truths are laws of order (n. 2447, 7995). 사람이 질서를 따라 사는 한, 즉 사람이 신적 진리를 따라 선 안에 거하는 한, 그는 사람이며, 교회와 천국이 그의 안에 있다 (AC.4839, 6605, 8513, [8547]). So far as a man lives according to order, that is, so far as he lives in good in accordance with Divine truths, he is a man, and the church and heaven are in him (n. 4839, 6605, 8513, [8547]).

주59. 모든 사람의 주된, 즉 주도적 사랑(The ruling or dominant love)은 삶의 사소한 것에서 전체에 걸쳐, 곧 사고와 의지에 관한 사소한 것에서 전체에 걸쳐 관여한다 (AC.6159, 7648, 8067, 8853). The ruling or dominant love with everyone is in each thing and all things of his life, thus in each thing and all things of his thought and will (n. 6159, 7648, 8067, 8853). 사람은 그의 삶의 주된 퀄러티와 같은 그런 것이다 (AC.987, 1040, 1568, 3570, 6571, 6935, 6938, 8853–8858, 10076, 10109, 10110, 10284). Man is such as is the ruling quality of his life (n. 987, 1040, 1568, 3570, 6571, 6935, 6938, 8853–8858, 10076, 10109, 10110, 10284). 사랑과 신앙이 다스릴 때, 사람은 자기 삶의 모든 것들(all the particulars of man’s life) 가운데 있다. 비록 이런 사실을 본인은 모르고 있더라도 말이다 (AC.8854, 8864, 8865). When love and faith rule they are in all the particulars of man’s life, although he does not know it (n. 8854, 8864, 8865).
