※ 천적 인간은 주님에 의해 온전히 다스림을 받는, 주님의 ‘모양’이다.

1절, 이것은 아담의 계보를 적은 책이니라 하나님이 사람을 창조하실 때에 하나님의 모양대로 지으시되 This is the book of the births of man. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him.

‘하나님의 모양’(a likeness of God)은 천적 인간, 그리고 ‘하나님의 형상’(an image of God)은 영적 인간임 또한 앞서 보여드렸습니다. (cf. 창1:26) ‘형상’(An image)은 ‘모양’(a likeness)을 준비하는 것이며, ‘모양’은 실물과 똑같아 보이는 모방(a real replica)입니다. 천적 인간은 주님에 의해 온전히 다스림을 받는, 주님의 ‘모양’이기 때문입니다. That a “likeness of God” is a celestial man, and an “image of God,” a spiritual man, has also been previously shown. An “image” is preparatory to a “likeness,” and a “likeness” is a real replica, for a celestial man is entirely governed by the Lord, as his “likeness.”

하나님이 이르시되 우리의 형상을 따라 우리의 모양대로 우리가 사람을 만들고

※ 여기 ‘형상’(image)이 두 번 언급되는 이유는 ‘자기 형상’(his image)은 신앙을, ‘하나님의 형상’(the image of God)은 사랑을 의미하기 때문입니다.

27절, 하나님이 자기 형상 곧 하나님의 형상대로 사람을 창조하시되 남자와 여자를 창조하시고 And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

여기 ‘형상’(image)이 두 번 언급되는 이유는 ‘자기 형상’(his image)은 신앙을, ‘하나님의 형상’(the image of God)은 사랑을 의미하기 때문입니다. 전자인 신앙은 이해(the understanding)에 속하는 반면, 후자인 사랑은 의지(the will)에 속하는데요, 이 사랑은 영적 인간에게 있어서는 뒤따라 나오는 거지만, 천적 인간에게 있어서는 앞서 나가는 것입니다. The reason why “image” is here twice mentioned is that faith, which belongs to the understanding, is called “his image”; whereas love, which belongs to the will, and which in the spiritual man comes after, but in the celestial man precedes, is called the “image of God.”  

※ 그래서 이때 이 사람을 가리켜 거듭남의 다섯 번째 상태 가운데 있다 하는데요, 이때 이 사람은 말을 할 때, 신앙과 관련된, 이해에 속한 어떤 원리로(from a principle of faith, which belongs to the understanding) 말을 하기 때문입니다.

24-25절, 24하나님이 이르시되 땅은 생물을 그 종류대로 내되 가축과 기는 것과 땅의 짐승을 종류대로 내라 하시니 그대로 되니라 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living soul after its kind; the beast, and the thing moving itself, and the wild animal of the earth, after its kind; and it was so. 25하나님이 땅의 짐승을 그 종류대로, 가축을 그 종류대로, 땅에 기는 모든 것을 그 종류대로 만드시니 하나님이 보시기에 좋았더라 And God made the wild animal of the earth after its kind, and the beast after its kind, and everything that creepeth on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

그래서 이때 이 사람을 가리켜 거듭남의 다섯 번째 상태 가운데 있다 하는데요, 이때 이 사람은 말을 할 때, 신앙과 관련된, 이해에 속한 어떤 원리로(from a principle of faith, which belongs to the understanding) 말을 하기 때문입니다. 그러면서 자신이 지금 진리 안에, 선 안에 있음을 스스로 확신합니다. 이때 이 사람으로 말미암는 모든 것이 ‘움직이는’(animate) 것이며, 이를 가리켜 ‘바다의 물고기’(the fishes of the sea), ‘하늘의 새’(the fowl of the heavens)라 하는 것입니다. 그가 이해에 속한 신앙으로(from faith, which is of the understanding), 그리고 거기서 나오는, 의지에 속한 사랑으로(from love thence derived, which is of the will) 진리를 말하며 선을 행할 때, 그는 여섯 번째 상태 가운데 있으며, 이때 그로 말미암는 것들을 가리켜 ‘생물’(the living soul), ‘가축’(the beast)이라고 합니다. 이렇게 그가 신앙뿐만 아니라 사랑으로 행하기를 시작할 때, 그는 영적 인간이 되며, 이를 가리켜 ‘하나님의 형상’(an image of God)이라 하는데, 이것이 지금 다루고 있는 주제입니다. Hence then it appears that man is in the fifth state of regeneration when he speaks from a principle of faith, which belongs to the understanding, and thereby confirms himself in the true and in the good. The things then brought forth by him are animate, and are called the “fishes of the sea,” and the “fowl of the heavens.” He is in the sixth state, when from faith, which is of the understanding, and from love thence derived, which is of the will, he speaks truths, and does goods; what he then brings forth being called the “living soul,” and the “beast.” And as he then begins to act from love, as well as from faith, he becomes a spiritual man, who is called an “image of God,” which is the subject now treated of.
